Lib-

The only person who can tell you whether it is Lyme or not is a LLMD. The LLMD

should be able to order the CT Scan and other tests to rule out non-Lyme

problems first, which is very, very important. Can it be Lyme? Yes, it can. My

young daughter suffered for years with similar symptoms, but, and I mean, but,

this could be a potential life threatening issue if it is an obstruction, tear,

etc... and other issues besides Lyme need to be ruled out first.

There are many great things that we gain from sites like this, but we are not

doctors. We can't say with certainty that your daughter's issues are Lyme nor

should we. It is probable with her history, but you must rule out the other

problems first. Hopefully, you will glean enough from our experiences to go

forward with her doctors.

I hope she begins to feel well soon.

Re: [ ] Re:stomach problems

My daughter has had Lyme for 4 years and has been quiet on the list because

she has been feeling decent enough to go on with her life. She has done on &

off antibiotics, cats claw and lots of supplements. Her symptoms were

basically neurological. For the past 4 weeks she has had some stomach

distress.

Lots of pains in the lower area, gas, occasionally diarrhea. Finally went

for a check up. Her internist (not her llmd) took lots of blood and a stool

sample. He wants her to go on Flagyl first and if she is not better, to have

a CT scan and then a colonoscopy. She hasn't started the flagly because she

heard it has lots of side effects.

I am wondering if any of this could be Lyme. She has not been on

antibiotics for a year and has stopped all supplements she was taking. Any

thoughts

on this would be appreciated.
