Guest guest
This post just reminded me about something I wanted to share that may help others with absorption issues. If you do have problems absorbing or breaking down proteins (which I do and I believe many with IBD issues do), along with fats, starches and carbohydrates, you might want to look into taking Betaine Hydrochloric Acid with Pepsin. My partner and I started taking this 3 weeks ago and within 3 days of him taking this, he believes LDN has a stronger effect on his system than without taking Betaine HCL ie he is absorbing it better (he takes LDN for SPMS). Here’s some information on the product which you can buy at any health food store and is inexpensive. BETAINE HCL Hydrochloric acid (HCL) initiates the conversion of pepsinogen to pepsin & assists protein digestion. HCL renders your stomach sterile against orally ingested pathogens, prevents bacterial & fungal overgrowth of your small intestine, encourages the flow of bile & pancreatic enzymes, aids the absorption of folic acid, vitamin C, beta-carotene, iron, calcium, magnesium & zinc. Numerous studies have shown stomach acid secretion declines with advancing age. Such decline may increase the risk of malabsorption & certain clinical conditions such as osteoporosis, asthma, eczema, chronic hives, psoriasis, arthritis, thyroid disorder, vitiligo, chronic candida, GI infections & parasites. Hope this helps. Jayne Crocker www.LDNNow.comImportant! So mixing it with anything in the stomach may slow it down. Try to take LDN all on its own until it gets to where it needs to go.._,___
