Dear Jeff,

Are you looking for a lyme literate in the Colorado area? I got

the name of a doctor in Colorado Springs or Pueblo (don't know which)

from the people at IGENEX Labs in Calif. His name is Dr. Martz

1-719-264-1500. Don't know anything about him and have never seen

him. You might want to check him out. Also on the discovery health

channel there was a woman Dr. from the Denver area (I thought) who

they did a lyme special on Mystery diagnosis. She was a

rhreumatalogist. Sorry I don't know her name though. She treated

the man for lyme. But Dr. Martz is probably a lyme literate, member

of lyme association.

Sorry I couldn't be more help

Hi ,

I am glad you found Lyme Aid. These people will have answers for you.

Dr.Martz retired, because of his own on going Lyme Health issues.. His

practice was called " Rocky Mountain Chronic Disease " .

Jeff you might want to call Penrose St. Frances Hospital in Colorado

Springs. They worked with Dr. M. As far as I remember there were a few

Doctors who were interested in training with him & taking over a few of

his easier patients. Penrose Hospital was amazing they were

understanding about Lyme. Which as we all know is extremely rare. Any

way if you ask they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Blessings & Healing,

Yemaya

Dr Martz is no longer in practice. After 5 heart attacks in 3 years, he made

an attempt to find a LLMD to share his practice with but was not able. He

closed his practice on July 31, 2007.

He was awesome as an LLMD and as a person; but was dealing with the effects

that undiagnosed Lyme that ended up being diagnosed as ALS caused him.

I believe he is doing research as he can - hopefully he will help us in that

way.

His nurse is working at an office in Colorado Springs, but I do not know if

she is taking in new patients. If you want to know how to reach her, email

me privately.

Jaye,

He had been told to " put his things in order " that he was dying of ALS. He

then was told of the possibility of him having Lyme, was diagnosed and

treated and is still with us, but mighty sick from the untreated past. He

closed his practice since he just couldn't keep up, I hope and pray he is

doing better without the stress. He's a wonderful man.

Lyme can lead into different illness in different people - My husband is now

diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease due to untreated for many, many years

Lyme.

My husband and I went to him and were so comforted and treated well. His

illness is a great loss to the Lyme community.

Sorry my Lyme Brain didn't say it well the first time.

Hi Ann

Its ok...my lyme brain can't comprehend easily.

I still can't get over what we have to go through...being misdiagnosed,

mistreated...

I too went through that...from being told I was crazy to MS and everything

else in between.

I hope the doctor and your husband can can still get better.

I've been undiagnosed and untreated for 14 years and still hope for a better

day.
