i dont know about the neck thing with you, but my husband says his is stiff and

feels like a robot.

my travel history and realized I was in Conn. right before the

fever/pain/etc. started. I was put on mepron and zithromax

immediately, even with negative ELISA and W.Blot. Dr. said it didn't

matter. I have it. (so does my niece who lives in Conn. by the way) I

have been feeling worse (herxing? woke up yesterday and couldn't move

my right arm for a few seconds, hope that doesn't happen again!) Hope

this protocol works. Just want you to know the fever is do-able, it's

hard, especially with kids, but hang in there, I've been where you

are, many times, in fact, as recently as February. It was so bad I

actually had memory loss! Had conversations I didn't recall!

Couldn't multiply 3x4..Scary. I too have driven around in a fog,

light, smell & sound sensitivities, pain that jumps around all the

time and many more wierd symptoms. At least the bad times are spread

out and the rest of the time you just feel a normal amount of misery>

Does anyone have what feels like enlarged lymph nodes under their

arms or down their outer thighs? Only the ones on my left thigh

hurt, feel bruised and get hot and painful sometimes, makes me limp.

They are no bigger than small peas. One dr. said it could be

fibromyalgia muscle spasms, and another said thrombophlebitis, and

another fatty tumors. Is this Lyme related?

Oh! one more thing, my Dr. put my treatment down as " fever " and

not " lyme disease " so my insuarance would pay for it. So far so good.

Wow, yes you explained it well!

I, too feel like my head is going to sever from my spine. Feels

like the slightest kink will break it. Ugghhh!!

4 years is a long time to have fevers! I am so sorry to hear you

have endured that! Bless your heart! I am only about 8 months

along with the fevers and am already fed up. I cant imagine going

thru 4 years of that. Sigh. I really feel for you and pray you

feel better soon!!

Doc called in tylenol 3 today for the pain. Took one an hour ago

and the pain is a little better, but still there ~ but it did

nothing for the fever.

The lymph nodes which are swollen for me are my neck ones; esp the

right side.

I honestly dont feel like I am herxing. I just feel flat out the

same. Nothiing is different.

I, too have my arms go completely limp while sleeping. I keep

thinking my bra is too tight, but it isnt. Sometimes I try to sleep

without one and it still happens I also sometimes think it is

pinched nerves from sleeping wrong, but when I change position, it

still remains.

I hear you on not being able to multiply 3x4. Coming from a former

homeschooling mom, I have to tell you, that is scary for me to even

think about. First noticed my inability to spell simple words

correctly. I used to be right on target with all of that.

Even if I wanted to homeschool again, I couldnt do it. That breaks

my heart to pieces. I stopped HS 6 years ago due to divorce, but 2

of my younger kids are begging me to HS them now. I just cant. As

much as I really want to, I am not capable of it right now.

Well, you know you are not alone with this. I, too am happy to have

found this site.

Wow...your story could also be mine, except for the fevers... That is

one problem that I don't have on a regular basis...THank God for small

favors!!

But the rest of it...I have had it all at one time or another.. Right

down to the swollen lymph nodes in the neck (I get a sore throat just

before they start acting up), and, yes, I do have what feel like small

lumps down the outside of my upper legs (thighs)...

They occasionally hurt just to the touch, but even when they are not

hurting, I know they are there... The most visible " swelling " is

under my armpits and in my upper left arm, which is usually twice the

size of the right one...

The " fog " is the most annoying symptom to me, since I am also the type

of person that used to " work with my brain " , so-to-speak...

Tho my symptoms started years ago, they came and went at first and I

managed to graduate from a local technical school with honors in 1997

in Medical Office Assisting.. Plus I used to work for a tax service

doing income taxes (6 yrs on and off), but now most days I " couldn't

think my way out of a paper bag " ...and thats exactly how I have

described it to my doctor... And I am responsible for driving my b/f

to work everyday, because he has no license...but what are we to do???

The last job I had was working as a 2nd shift " closing clerk " at a

local convenience store, but I had to leave that in June 2006, because

my symptoms were getting much worse. At one

point, in Feb 2006, they took me out by ambulance at around 9:30 pm.

because I got so dizzy I couldn't even stand up... I actually had to

give my keys to a police officer to lock up for me, until they could

get someone there to finish the shift..

After that, my doctor told me " no more working alone " , which I didn't,

until leaving in June, when my manager finally decided that he could

no longer " accommodate " my having to be put on the day shift " ...and

that was after working there for 2 yrs and at one time having a chance

at " assistant manager " !!

I was devastated AND ANGRY!! I loved my job...and still want to work

to this day, but there is just no way...

Unlike you, I receive no treatment at this time, because I have yet to

have a 1st visit to an LLMD and the doctors around here are

" worthless " when it comes to Lyme...

Sorry...got a bit side tracked there, but it IS frustrating...to all

of us who are suffering from this " non-existent " disease...

The " neck thing " that " hvn-safe " mentions is the very first symptom

that I had and still have... I have trouble, same as you, keeping my

head up without support, feeling as though it wants to fall right off

my shoulders...

It's amazing that so many of us are experiencing the exact same

things, but so many think that we are " nuts " ...

Hope you start feeling better soon and " glad you found the site "

also... It helps to know that there ARE others out there..
