Oh yeah, for years!

I think occasionally I can keep my eyes open for a picture, but night-

time lights are another story. My " night vision " seems to be intact,

but any and all lights at night seem much stronger and all have halos

around them. There is also a low-grade headache I have all the time

that gets a bit worse each time headlights come toward me. Docs have

checked for glaucoma, dilation problems, etc. and can't find a

reason. Since it's only been this way since I was infected, I blame

it on Lyme.

Also have to wear sunglasses when driving on all but the

cloudiest/rainiest days. Daytime light, whether pure sunshine or

reflected off of clouds, makes my eyes water and my " normal " headache

gets pretty bad sometimes.

I'd love to know what this is about!

I was a professional photographer for over 40 years. I found that some

people have the tendency to ANTICIPATE the flash and therefore close

their eyes right in the middle of it. Try having your photo taken with

loud music on, or something like that, and see if it still happens.

Women blink a lot more than men do too.

Here is my eye history - maybe this will help. I had candida before I

got lyme and was getting older. I was seeing halos at night and had

other eye problems. I started taking eye vitamins Visivites -

because of a family history of Macular degeneration. As I took those

and got over the yeast, my vision has greatly improved with no more

halos and perfect night vision in spite of the fact that I am three

years older. I also started taking FRS, mostly for the little boost

in energy when I need it, but I found that it sharpens my vision

almost immediately - within 3=20 seconds my vision gets clearer and

sharper. I do wear sunglasses, sometimes even on cloudy days, but my

vision is great! except I often need reading glasses. I'm 57. The

only effects from lyme are two floaters, one in each eye and they

have been there for 7 months with no change for 4 months. I also take

an extra alpha lipoic acid capsule- that's one of the ingredients in

the visivites.

I was seeing halos at night and had

other eye problems. I started taking eye vitamins Visivites -

.... I also started taking FRS,...

What is FRS?

I started out seeing halos at night. Now it is down to one circle in the middle

of my right eye,

when I open my eyes suddenly at night. I also see tiny little flashing lights

in a semi circle,

weighted toward the bottom, in both eyes when I go outside and it is a bright

day or there is snow

on the ground. Has anyone else experienced these?

My eye changes came on suddenly one day with tiny black dots in my entire field

of vision, floaters,

and the circle of light around both eyes, at night. My optometrist said my

vitreous had pulled

loose and that it would settle down in a week or two. It took years for the

light along the edge to

change. The floaters never left and now the tiny flashing light. I do get

classic migraines but

this visual disturbance is completely different for me. I also was having

trouble with sudden

blurriness that I just couldn't blink my eyes and make go away, but after being

on salt and C for

three months, that seems to have cleared up. Thanks for any advice.

I have had Lyme since 1999, but have had floaters for more than ten

years before that. They are worse now, but that is " normal " with old

age. I am 67.

I found in my earlier Lyme that Devil's Claw seemed to help the most

for my blurred vision. I still take it. I have taken it along with

other herbs for about three years now. I find my vision is worse IF

I spend more than a couple hours at the computer a day, which is

pretty often and if I also watch too much TV, which this time of year

is pretty often also. Though the TV watching is not as bad as being

here at the computer.

I have tried other herbs and vitamins for vision, but don't seem to

do much to help ME; Devil's Claw does.

I am very photosensitive also but not just to camera flash. My light

sensitivity includes the sun and bright indoor lighting as well. This seems to

be a common symptom of Lyme.
