I am in desperate need of a lyme literat doctor in MD. Dr.

Singleton is not accepting new patients, Dr. Leon in Waldorf is

not accepting new patients. what do we do in this case....i guess i

could take my sick daughter to the office and sit all day and wait to

be seen, however, i don't think my daughter could handle that. Help

please.

Greetings...A good site to check for a Lyme doctor referral is the Lyme Disease

Association http://www.lymediseaseassociation.org/index.html<about:blank>. You

can send them an email to sueted@...<about:blank> - put Referral in

the Subject, and let them know your location. Let them know the status of the

doctor's below, and they will locate other LLMD's. The LLMD closest to my home

wasn't accepting new patients when I started treatment, so I found an LLMD on

the Ohio border - it's about 205 miles one way - and worth the trip...Tom

I left a voicemail message more than a week ago and an e-mail message 2 weeks

ago. I have still to hear from the LDA. Their answering message said it might

take 3 business days. Is this usual for the organization?

I did get some doctors' names from my local Lyme group leader, so that was the

biggest help in my case.

Did you send your email to

'sueted@...'<mailto:'sueted@...'> with 'Referral' in

the subject line? That was the email for the LDA when I was looking in January.

I just checked the LDA and saw

'referrals@...'<mailto:'referralslymediseaseassociation (DOT) \

org'> as the email address. It wouldn't hurt to send one email to both

addresses listed above. I think they returned my phone call and email within a

few days of contacting them. Don't give up - hang in there and keep trying - it

will be worth it...Tom

I have a great one in land who I just began seeing. If you call

the doctors office who you mentioned that was no longer assisting

patients should recommend her to you. I am not allowed to give out

doctor names so I will just tell you that she is Dr. L in

Lutherville land. She is amazing as well as her new physicians

assistant!! You will be so happy you found her. This is how I found

her. I am new to this board but if there is a way for you to e-mail

me I can give you all of her info. but this should help. Good luck!

I know you will be thrilled with the Doctor & her asst.
