Guest guest
I take LDN personally for MS, but I have a friend whose thyroid is absolutely non-functioning. She was given steroids to no avail, she swelled badly with the whole moonface thing...but in the end it didnt help her. She was tested for everything under the sun...MS, lupus, fibromyalgia and the list goes on. She has severe pain and must be on pain killers daily which make her sleep all the time, migraines, she cant seem to gain weight, and she is very thin. There was something mentioned about hashimoto's, but I dont think it was an actual Dx. My question is if LDN is safe for someone who has a non-functioning thyroid, and will it actually help the thyroid to function? She is taking synthetic TSH, but it doesnt seem to be helping either. Any experience in this situation, or similar, would be helpful. Thanks, F
