Hello Group;

Love may be 'normally' blind to inches in a perfect world. I've been

discriminated against too many times in my life to actually believe that. Try

being the only lp in any public school. Playgrounds are harsh. Try to compete

in a job market where they have to hire you if you are the 'best' person for

the job when you are in fact, terribly average in skills. Sorry for the rant

but not every love is blind.

Is it normal for a person to obsess on height to the point of perhaps

reverse discrimination, discrimination none the less, because that person of

average height only wants to have a love relationship with a little person? Is

it

normal to be so into lp that a person has made up his or her mind that she

must have a lp even though the person has not met a lp?

I have to say, it is possible and probable that an AH person can seek out a

lp, just as people seek out only green eyed people, and that lp will be able

to love that person back. Yes, a lp can fall in love with an AP who loves

them.

I guess I'd turn the question around and ask why would

it not be normal for an lp to love an ap?

For me before I joined LPA no way would I have ever

dated another lp, then after I joined, no way would I

have ever dated an ap. As I've gotten older I realize

what is important in a relationship and it sure as

heck is not height. If it is true love (not lust) then

you love who they are as a person, their attributes

AND faults. That is what keeps a relationship and

marriage, not what height a person is.

Look at it this way? Is it normal for a blond to date

a brown haired person? Is it normal for a blue eyed

girl to date a brown eyed boy? These are just

superficial characteristics.

I meant unadulterated pure love, not influenced by individual bigotries

and narrow mindedness to give someone different than themselves a

chance, etc... However, I do know where yer coming from as I too have

been discriminated against, even in dating. But having been in love of

the aforemntioned type, now twice, once yer there you don't even think

of each other's height or appearnace even (eg. looks) as they jsut grow

on you more and more to the point that yer in love with them, wjho they

are, not what they are or how they may appear to someone else's eyes.

And what's cool is that I've experinced, or me personally and only

speaking for myself, that love even in this imperfect world and each

tiem I did, is was like wow, I cou;d've cared less what they looked

like. One female who was my first true love, was considered ugly by

most and she was ap and that criticism came from only aps as I was the

only lp she knew and also fell in lvoe with too... but she grew on me

to the point that she was the most beautiful woman in the world:).
