At just five years old, I was diagnosed with juvenile-onset migraines. I was

determined that this problem would not get in the way of living a productive

life. With much suffering and prayer along the way, I forged a life of which my

parents could be proud. They never stopped encouraging me. I was blessed with

the dream of a happy family and a job that I loved as a forensic scientist.

 

Unfortunately, at thirty-six years old, migraines robbed me of significant life

function. After two years of disability and many different experimental

medications and treatments, I felt like my neurologist had given up on me. I was

considering an inpatient program at a headache clinic far from home. Another

specialist kept encouraging me to keep trying, and so I did more research online

as I could. It was increasingly hard to concentrate and remember things. Other

medical problems started to surface due to my incapacitation and inactivity.

 

I sought out Dr. Warren M. Levin for his expertise in Lyme¢s Disease. I read

about neurotoxins as a complication of Lyme and that they could potentially

cause migraines. Upon leaving my first office visit, he had targeted my problem

not as Lyme, but as a neurotransmitter disease and prescribed amino acid therapy

from CHK Nutrition. He educated me and my husband in plain language and gave us

confidence in the treatment.

 

Three days after starting the amino acids, I started to be functional again. I

spent my first weekend without pain in years, and I was amazed at how joyful

life could be. My daughter got her Mommy back and my husband got a new wife.

Now, four months later, I am stronger and weaned off of my neurologist¢s

prescribed medications with no return of pain. My outlook on life has changed,

and I will forever be grateful to Dr. Levin for his expertise.

He looked at my entire medical history and successfully treated other problems

that other specialists dismissed. During my disability, I had been to a

gastroenterologist about a burning pain in my abdominal area. I specifically

described it as feeling like my colon was inflamed. I went through invasive and

uncomfortable tests including a colonoscopy, EGD and ultrasound with no

resulting diagnosis. Dr. Levin performed a simple stool culture that indicated

the presence of three types of pathogenic bacteria and a parasite. With a little

medicine, I was feeling much better.

 

He openly acknowledged the miracle of God¢s creation, the body, to heal itself.

His patients are all the better for it. He was more than willing to consult with

any of my specialists, although most did not desire the same. I have learned to

be more of a discriminating consumer with my physicians. Good ones are easy to

spot, because a doctor that cares for you rejoices in your healing. Dr. Levin is

such a doctor.
