Guest guest
One of the pluses of LDN for me is that I am never ill. No colds or flu and best of all no sinus infections which were chronic & triggered MS exacerbations. I would give LDN more time.Trish I took LDN at the 1.5 dose for a month, then upped it to 2.5 for a couple of weeks. During the last 2 weeks I kept trying to come down with a cold/virus, but was able to fight it off twice. Finally it caught up with me and I have been pretty sick for about 5 days now. This is most unusual for me. Most of the time if I catch something I get a mild case and then get over it quickly. Having taken LDN for such a short time, I would not expect it to do much by way of improving my immune system yet. I am actually wondering if it might be having the opposite effect at this stage. This is definitely a bug I have caught and not a side effect of the LDN because my husband has the same thing. Should I continue taking the LDN, or possibly stop it for a while in case I end up having to get antibiotics to kick this bug? Guest guest
Dear Beverly, If you get a cold or sore throat, heat your nose or throat with a 250 watt infrared bulb mounted on a crookneck lamp as hot as you can stand. I strongly suspect the disease will not last more than a few hours. Just make sure to shield your eyes. I have reason to believe that heating the eyes too much can alter their optical properties. See Weber CE 2007 Creation of a local fever using an infrared lamp to cure a tooth abscess. Medical Hypotheses 69; 458; 564-568.
