Guest guest
I want to point out that a member of Lyme Aid sent me a paper written by Dr Crist (please see http://www.drcharlescrist.com/index.htm for more information) that says the 30kDa is the same as 31kDa, both being reactive to Outer Surface protein A. Dr Crist says that the medical literature says they are the same, but alas, does not include citations to that medical literature. Does anyone have the latest edition of Vanderhoof-Forschner's book Everything You Need to Know About Lyme Disease? Could you look to see if the 30kDa band has been updated? If so, will you look in the back of the book in the Index to see the citation where that information comes from and let me know what it says? Please note: I have seen kD and kDa used interchangeably in the literature. They both mean kilodalton which is an atomic mass unit, or best described in layman's terms as how much something (very tiny) weighs. It appears to me that kDa is the updated abbreviation. =) Robynn To learn more about Dr Crist's information on Lyme disease testing please visit his website at http://www.drcharlescrist.com/testing.htm .
