Guest guest
I'm asking for other people's opinions about what they would do, or have done in situations like this. (I certainly will not construe it as medical advice). Last night a cat whom I was sitting attacked me. I mean *attack.* If I could have found a phone there I would have called the animal control officer for help. I had to cover myself with a huge towel and wave around an industrial broom to keep if from getting its claws into me again. No bites, just scratches, a couple nasty. Cat bites and scratches are nothing new to me and I've never gotten a tetanus shot for them. I want to know if people here, with compromised immune systems, and perhaps wariness of doing something suggested by allopathic medicien for every little thing. My tendency is not to get a shot....especially in light of my longterm Lyme and co-infections. What would others do for themselves; what have you done? Although I feel like hell with tickborne illness and long-term Lyme, I do not have a paranoia about every little germ. I really don't want to get a tetanus shot. So want some feedback from others I respect. Last night washed and disinfected the areas a lot, used antibiotic cream with bandages over night, and right now have a clay paste over the worst one to draw out any yuck. Thanks so much for your thoughts. Deanna
