Guest guest
This vaccine is NOT a live virus so you are OK. Prevnar is the new vaccine and the product insert and other info can be found at http://www.pneumo.com/home.html List Owner of Vaccinations and Vaccine Info www.geocities.com/mom2q (my work in progress!) Mom of two great kids who are vaccine free! Please Help! We were visiting with some friends today and the mom told me that her 18 month old just received the meningitis vaccine (Provar??) this week. My 11 month old non-vaccinated child was around her. I'm terrified that my daughter will be harmed in some way by being around her. The mom said this was a new vaccine; can someone please help me find info on it. I'm just afraid my daughter will catch something from being around the girl. I need to know how this vaccine is made, what it contains, etc. THANKS! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Free, Unlimited Calls Anywhere! Guest guest
T'yana, By now, I'm sure your friend has gotten the results of her HIV test. Sorry I haven't responded sooner. I hope they have come back negative. Just to give her some support.... ~ Five years ago, I went to see several different doctors about my symptoms and none of them could figure out what was wrong. Several hinted I may have AIDS; a few flat out told me I should get tested. I was petrified even though I didn't have any of the risk factors (yet it only takes one time with someone who doesn't know they have it). I had several HIV tests because even I believed (at one point) that it was the only thing that could be wrong. Yet, every one of the tests came back negative. Now, I know that it's the systemic candida causing my symptoms and candida can be an auto-immune disease (much easier " cured " than AIDS, however). Yet, if your friend's test came back positive, I would send her to a Naturopath immediately or a good chiropractor who specializes in subluxation (or another good natural/alternative health practitioner) because I have heard of many cases where people with full-blown AIDS cured themselves through diet and supplements and were able to reverse the auto-immune deficiency to the point of fighting off the HIV virus altogether (ie: they later tested negative for HIV). HIV/AIDS is just one more condition that the medical profession does not understand - just like candida. Also, I have heard that some alternative health practitioners believe HIV does not become AIDS on its own and that someone needs both HIV AND candida in order to develop AIDS. Not sure how much research there is on that, though. Anyway, please keep us posted on your friend. ::::sending her and her family/friends lots of good energy::: ~ In a message dated 8/23/00 10:24:43 AM Central Daylight Time, Mesheka@... writes: << I guess I am wondering, have any of you heard of anyone, or you yourself been diagnosed with esophageal candidiasis and weren't HIV positive? My doctor insisted I get tested for AIDS , told me (after my tests came back neg.) that I was crazy, it was all in my head and that nothing was wrong with me. I asked him to explain my lack of sexdrive and the yeast infections all he could say was I needed to losen up and stop working so hard...stress is the killer! He handed me Diflucan (the miracle pill he said) reminded me to never wear nylon panties and to stop worrying. That was the advise I recieved. I know better now. The more crap I eliminate from my diet the better I feel. I am just so confused as to all that is good and all that is bad. It seems as if everything is bad. Why are these doctors out of the loop? I'm new too. > back neg.) that I was crazy, it was all in my head and > that nothing was wrong with me Oh, don't yo ujsut LOVE it??!! Mine pumped me full of antidepressants for 3 years, told me it was all because I was vegetarian and eventually declared that there WAS something wrong but that we'd probably never find out what!!! Let's hear it for homeopaths, eh?! Diagnosed me inside an hour, after 7 years of pure misery. > The more crap I eliminate from my diet the better I > feel. I am just so confused as to all that is good > and all that is bad. It seems as if everything is bad. It's rotten at the start, but you'll get used to it, I promise. I thought I'd never cope with the diet, but apart from the occasional dismal day it's really not as bad as it looks. Hey, folks, what say we trade some of our favourite recipes on the list?? Guest guest
Hi Ann, Its SOOO good to read all these emails and know that I am not crazy and that there is hope. DIet is the hardest. Recently my life has been awfully stressed and packed with family obligations. (weddings, showers, birthday parties and the like where food is a BIG part of the celebration...um, and its an Italian family, none-the-less) I have injested more crap into my body in past summer than I care to think about and now I am struggling once again to get healthy. (stupid, stupid, I know) I am an artist so the depression/moody thing is common in my field. The more brooding, the better. But it has gotten way out of control and I feel relieved just reading these emails...that spacey feeling...never thought it was from a yeast infection, just me being moody and non social....or rather, " mousey. " BAH! I was so convinced that if I had taken the right pill or dosage i would get better but its just not the case. I need a total life turnaround. Doing that now. ITs so hard.....I love coffee....you can keep your chocolate, give me JAVA! Anyway, I think trading recipies would be a great idea. Im excited to get my hands on some new recipies. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I use this GREAT cookbook called Candida Albicans Yeast-Free Cookbook: How Good Nutrition Can Help Fight the Epidemic of Yeast-Related Diseases. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0658002929/qid=969900619/sr=1-1/102-3 405202-6530544 I love this book because the recipes are so easy to do. I am a confirmed protein-and-sweets eater, don't really like vegetables or fruit. But this book is converting me. , there's a great recipe in here for Mock Spaghetti. Being Italian, I thought you might like it. You take a small spaghetti squash and cut it in half lengthwise. You bring 1 1/2 inches of water to boil and plop the squash in cut side down and cover and simmer for about 20-30 min. Or until you can poke a fork through the back. Meanwhile you make spaghetti sauce. I usually cheat here and use a can of sauce and a can of stewed chopped tomatoes and chop up some veggies and throw it in there and simmer it all together for a while. There is a recipe in here for a spaghetti sauce using all fresh ingredients that they recommend. When the squash is done, drain the water and use a fork to scratch out the pulp. It looks like spaghetti!! Put it on a plate and put the sauce over it and eat!! It's so good, I think it's better than pasta which, once you're on this diet a while, tastes like paste. =) I have some in the freezer right now, maybe I'll take it out for dinner. I have more favorite recipes too, but I have to get home to my book to share them. Lousie Re: Please Help! I've not noticed them being too carbo-heavy - there are a lot of breads and things which I expect would be, but I've not had the energy to even think about bread- mnakign, so it's not been a problem for me. Some of the vegetable dishes are pretty good, but I use it like I use any cookery book - for ideas and guidance, rather than following the recipe to the letter. The background information at the start is very useful, though. This list has been pretty quiet............and a 'protocol' or basic outline of what one can do healthwise or nutritionally has not been forthcoming. This is an aids-cured list? Hmmm. I havent been to the doctors since my last year test results as 'poz' for hiv antibodies...........I do lots of nutritional things primarily.....I'm fine and healthy - I have only recently been having some skin conditions(little rashes/light reddish colour welt-like bumps)...appear on bottom, thighs, mid section...sometimes a few on legs and arms. It may be a reaction to a supplement I'm taking...still troublshooting and may have to quit some of them and see if it is one of them I'm taking. Some have told me its common with hiv positives to have these skin conditions - they say its probably caused by the virus. I dont necessarily believe that. So please if there are any real people who have genuine answers for us....please share it with those of us on this list ...for healths sake! Thank you in advance - *I have been taking near a teaspoon of colloidal silver for about a month now - I also take a whole food liquid supplement called Body Balance made form sea vegetables and aloe vera juice.....take lots of supps too - please share with us what is working to promote immune health and longevity. My only concern for now is these skin issues - other than that I feel just fine. take care all, paul _

Here's a brief history:- My dad is 59. Many years ago he had a motorcycle accident and hurt his back, but over time it got better and for many years he lived a normal working life. He also has psoriasis. Over the years he had spells when his back got bad, but with physio and treatment he improved. Then about 12-13 years ago it got really bad, causing him a great deal of pain; and for the past 10 years he has been off work, now permanently disabled. Tests etc showed that his condition is quite complicated - he had several slipped discs with a trapped nerve which is calcified, and the bottom of his spine is crumbling. He gets severe sciatic (sp?) pain which affects his legs , feet and toes. He also now has psoriatic arthritis, and his psoriasis is very bad. Over the years he has had courses of physio, various pain meds etc etc etc... There is no operation that can help, and would probably leave him in a wheelchair. Anyway, since Christmas he has gone downhill very fast. He can no longer drive and is in agony nearly all the time. He is spending nearly all his time laying on his side in bed (he is getting alot of pain in the base of his spine and can't sit), and hardly ever comes downstairs. He has been on methotrexate, but it made him feel too bad. He cannot bear to have physio with the pain he has. In the past he has used a TENS machine, but didn't find it much use. We have a very understanding GP, but he doesn't really know what else to do at the moment. Dad is now taking morphine for the pain, but he is still in quite alot of pain. The meds is making him very constipated, and the straining is making his pain worse. He also looks and feels so ill in himself and is getting very depressed. I feel so helpless and desperately want to be able to help him. If anyone has any idea's please let me know - I don't want him to suffer any more. The GP is coming to see him tomorrow, so maybe he will have another idea.
