LDN -- Can it make you worse before it makes you better? Or worse period?

Hi All,

My RA symptoms are getting way worse. For my whole story see previous post which

I copied and pasted below and got some replies thereafter (thanks for those by

the way).

My question now is -- Does LDN ever make you worse (and for how long) before it

has beneficial effects? And, can it make you worse period?

Any experiences or info will be appreciated.

Best to Everyone,

Ira Brightman

Hi All,

I've been on LDN 4.5 mgs. daily for two weeks now. Taking it at night on an

empty stomach as indicated. I'm not sure if it's helping. How long should I keep

trying it before giving up? My RA symptoms are worsening but that might be due

to other factors -- went off a low dose of prednisone (3 mgs. daily) months

back, and just resumed it at 5 mgs. then to work down to 3 mgs. (I also take 15

mgs. of methotrexate weekly).

If I have to go off the LDN, can I just stop or do I have to taper off? I was

hoping the LDN might obviate the need for the prednisone, but it's looking

doubtful.

Best to everyone,

Ira Brightman

Ira,

One thing LDN can do is bring candida to the surface. Candida can make

one's symptoms worse, and when that happens it is often a sign that

systemic candida needs to be cleaned up. I would strongly recommend

investigating candida treatment, but what you want a holistic program so

that it builds your health rather than something straight up poisonous

which will tear you down, plus those things don't really work for candida

anyway.

Someone else will need to list the resources recommended for candida.
