Guest guest
Hi all I started LDN last night on a 1.5mg dosage and I'm looking for a little advice and info. Dr Gilhooly said to take it in the morning and not at night (which I know isn't the desired way from keeping track of the group's messages). I'm unsure as to whether that's because so many report nightmares as a side effect. I took it last night. Is it best to take it right before going to sleep or just in the evening....and whilst I know this is probably a dumb question, why is it that we should take it before bed? (an answer will help me inform my hubby). lol Also, do I need to check my thyroid first? - and if so, why? (again to refresh my memory and let the hubby know) Is the Best Bet Diet OK whilst on LDN? Is there anything I should be taking notice of which might impede or impact using the medication? What should I be expecting and what sort of timeline is usual for things? Ugh! You'd think I never read any of the emails. I guess it's different when you're actually starting it! Thankyou for your help all - it will be much appreciated! Guest guest
First you must write, why do you take ldn. Most doctors recommend to take ldn after 22.00 because the endorphines are produced between 02.00-04.00 I am using the Free version of SPAMfighter.SPAMfighter has removed 339 of my spam emails to date.Do you have a slow PC? Guest guest
Thankyou EVERYONE who replied to me! You've all been a lot of help. To answer a couple of queries: my purpose for taking LDN is to help with the symptoms of 'MS'/CCSVI. I had heard about one person talking about probs with their thyroid and their thyroid medication when they were starting taking LDN. I just wanted to double check whether or not I needed to check it out prior to starting LDN for best results. My question about the Best Bet Diet was in reference to its lack of certain foods which are generally considered 'healthy' and 'good for you' but actually aren't for people who have been diagnosed with 'MS'. I can see that my diet is actually very good and will work well in conjunction with LDN. I've had no nightmares (which I'd heard was something that can happen) and haven't had any vivid dreams or sleep disturbance at all. Thankyou all again for taking the time to respond to a 'newbie' who has actually been reading the posts for about a year, but who has been very quiet and who, in her brain fog, has suddenly had questions pop into her head - hence the fear of being seen as asking 'stupid questions'. lol Your help has reassured me and I thank you sincerely.
