Guest guest
It's frightening how vigilant we must be. Next time we turn around we'll find dietary supplement regulation in the cap and trade legislation!!! Guest guest
Absolute - actually what I do does affect others. It allows me to be a productive member of society instead of a drugged up zombie. Imagine a drug free world with only natural alternatives. I'll bet it would be a different place. A little off topic here but has anyone else noticed that the majority of people seem to be really angry and very few are truly happy? It makes me sad. Guest guest
Yes! Plus almost everyone I know is on some type or types of pharmaceutical medications which is considered perfectly normal, but I'm weird because I take lots of supplements..... Guest guest
WELCOME TO THE PARTY, PEOPLE. BETTER LATE THAN NEVER. I've been fighting the people that 'know what's best for me' since 1968. You see, I'm a firearms owner. You know, right-wing lunatic, militia, fringe, nut-job. And what I've been fighting for is an 'enumerated right'. It's time the trash in D.C. is told they have one job; secure the borders then get the hell out of our way. From seatbelt laws to cannibus laws to regulation of ozone therapies, we don't need any of it. For several decades we've been sending nothing but trash to D.C. and it's time to flush them ALL, I'm talking bi-lateral here, down the toilet of history. And no, I don't smoke dope. And I believe it's no ones' business if you do. Guest guest
I think part of what is happening is that drug companies want to limit our access to supplements and force us to take a prescription drug. I noticed several adds on TV for Niaspan for cholesterol and noticed there was a little language about " slow release niacin " . I looked up this drug on the internet and it looks like it is simply niacin that has a coating to slow its release. I looked up the price on one of the online drugstores -- $279.00 for a bottle of 120, 500mg tablets. You can buy a bottle of 120, 500mg niacin at Walmart for $9.00 and sustained release niacin can be ordered online for even cheaper. Get the picture - - > > Just to let everyone know that a victory was achieved on the issue of the > Federal Trade Commission not being given expanded powers to regulate > supplements. > > Here is the information: > http://www.anh-usa.org/victory-the-anti-supplement-ftc-expansion-provision-is-de\ feated—at-least-for-now/ > > I'm posting the results because I know a number of you did write your > Congressional representatives, and everyone needs to know that when we are > informed and we band together, we can succeed in protecting our rights. > > with best wishes, > -- > > > ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ > --A.J. Guest guest
You're absolutely correct. Dr Mercola (with whom I do not always agree) has said that the use of pharmaceuticals is actually decreasing, and that BigPharm has been focusing on vaccines because they saw this coming. They are also focusing, and have been for decades, and trying to take away our right to health through food supplements so they can sell them to us at hundreds of times the price, as you illustrated. But just because this is what they are trying to do doesn't mean they will succeed. We the People have been fighting this mostly successfully for a long time, and we will continue. And I want to thank everyone here who participated in the feedback to our Congressional Reps which created this success. -- At 11:07 PM 7/1/2010, you wrote: >I think part of what is happening is that drug companies want to limit our >access to supplements and force us to take a prescription drug.
