Hi,

Would this be the same for someone that has had their thyroid removed? I am still on a low dose of T3 only and thyroid was removed in 2005. My doc just prescribed the 4.5 for me. I haven't started it yet but I did get the RX filled at a very good compounding pharmacy aready. Thanks, Bernita

If you take thyroid medication you have to start with a low dose 1.5 mg.

Especially if you have hashimoto you have to watch that you do not become hyper.if you do you have to lower thyroid medication.the same thing when you raise ldn

Bernita-- I'm on the iodine protocol which also has the potential of

decreasing the need for thyroid medication if thryoid function is

jumpstarted, and we've talked about these issues extensively. However, if

someone does not have a thyroid, that function cannot be restarted, so you

are safe to start at 4.5mg and don't worry.
