Hate to tell you this, but flouride was put into the water in

Queensland from January of this year................with much opposition

This came about when the New Premier, Bligh took over from

Beattie who was opposed to its introduction.

Another trick for lowering the birth-rate then?

one can hear the bandwagon rolling along, and they all jump

on....lemmings, however, jump off..!!

Thank you , bottled water will be purchased on arrival and that will be all that both of us use. I will tell my daughter and son and let them make their own choices, I have no other choice than to do that.

Hi

I live in Kent and phoned Southern Water regarding fluoride. I was

passed on to their technical department. I asked if fluoride was going

to be introduced in the Kent area - he said that he did not know. I

said that I had thyroid problems and was concerned. He started to get

quite angry and said that he could tell I was very stressed (actually,

I wasn't stressed but with his attitude, I could well have been) and

that it was nothing to do with them and I should contact the NHS.

I have found out that as my contract is with Southern Water, they have

a 'duty of care' to me and I will phone them again and, if necessary,

this time really get 'stressed'.

If mass water-fluoridation goes ahead, would we be able to get

prescriptions for bottles of unfluoridated bottled water or grants so

that we can adapt our homes to store and purify rain water?

Hi Dawn

Where do you get your filters and is it expensive to install or is

it a stand alone thing? I just googled reverse osmosis filter and

found this site which has UK and US info on it but haven't read much

yet. They appear to have info relating to adrenal, hypothyroid and

other conditions. Maybe they have some info that could be sent to

the water companies and NHS? I am at work so can't spend time

looking just now!

HI Jo

Yes here is mine

You will probably have to copy and paste the link.

There are quite a few different models out there, I would definately

go for one with a pump, and with 5 stages. There are some which you

can buy that have remineralising because you lose some minerals in the

process. I would only use it for drinking and cooking as there is

quite a water waste involved, especially if you are on a meter. The

filters need changing every few months or so, not too bad depending on

useage. Flush out the tank as instructed as they coat the inside to

keep it from corroding with something which would make you very ill if

you don't flush it out properly, you need to get at least 5 gallons

through it I think, I will probably double that, I'll let you know if

I get ill lol.

You may be able to charge your water company for one if they decide to

put fluoride in your water but by that time you might be killed in the

rush to buy one lol.

Don't know about your local plumbers prices but mine quoted £40 and I

am not going to argue with that.

lotsa luv

Hiya,

I looked on the waterboard's website and found 'Assistance for

Customers with individual needs'. I thought " that's me " so I phoned

them again.

I managed to get hold of the annoying little toerag I talked to last

week and tried to ask him if he could confirm that my area would not

have fluoride in the water supply. This time he was more rude than

before - and kept talking over me. I wanted to ask him about

the 'individual needs' webpage which says that they make sure their

staff know about any special circumstances or needs the customer may

have. I wanted to ask him about reverse osmosis filters and would I

be able to have one should the waterboard introduce fluoride into the

water system. No luck - he kept talking over me saying it was not

their problem and I should get in touch with the NHS. I tried to

tell him that my contract was with the waterboard (not the NHS) as I

pay them to supply my water and that they owed me 'duty of care'. In

the end he became so obnoxious that I asked for his name - he cut me

off after telling me.

I have sent an email of complaint to the water board about him and I

will be asking them about 'individual needs' and 'duty of care'.

Perhaps if we all do more complaining, we may ruffle a few feathers.

I normally find the best way to contact large companies, is to email

them. You don't waste time talking to numpties and etc. Once you get

a reply, follow it up with a phone call.

Cheers

You go Gal :)

A while ago when this fluoridation thing flared up there was a page

you could download with a letter to request such things as filters, I

am sure I saw it, from the people lobbying against fluoride, I think

it was linked from here but for the life of me I cannot remember much

more.

I think I emailed Yorkshire Water at the time and stated I would want

a RO filter supplied in the case of them putting fluroide in my water.

Yes keep at them, but you get referred to that other 'body' who are

not the NHS they are some other health 'body' who do the deciding

whether the fluoride goes in or not, I think they were named in the

newspaper article. Sorry about the brain fog thing lol.

lotsa luv

Well done ! I hope you get a result. Unfortunately these agencies seem

very good as mailing out pre-printed crass apologies.

What is added to water supplies is a waste byproduct of the aluminum processing industry -and as it exists naturally in soil and is absorbed by plants we eat there is some real concern we get too much in our diet via drinking water.Additionally, if you live close to the water treatment plant you will get much higher doses of fluoride than if you live at the far end. Not a good way of dispensing the compound. The person close to the plant can develop uclers, among other worse conditions, from too much fluoride and the fellow downstream will not. Yet both are drinking the same water supply and no connection will be made for the poor guy close to the plant as to the cause of his ulcers.Fluoride in drinking water and added to edible crops via watering can cause lowered

IQsamong other unnecessary problems. I had sensitive teeth and was told to use a toothpaste with extra fluoride. I did and the problem got worse. Then I switched to a toothpaste with NO fluoride and the problem completely resolved - as I remember that happened quickly, within a week or two.Very recently fluoride has been associated with bone deformities in an East Indian villagenear Delhi. In another near Banglore, children were blinded by fluoride.http://www.expressindia.com/latest-news/one-crippled-village-two-theories/637407/http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/6069488.cmsThe problems have been

known a long time, suspected even longer.http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7760776Fluoride poisoning has been associated with osteosarcoma in young boys.http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2005/jun/12/medicineandhealth.genderissuesIt's an interesting subject - http://www.fluoridealert.org/Jackie

It's a byproduct of producing aluminum. Alcoa was big in getting it into the water supply.

Hi,

I am a lurker here and learning a lot. Would like to tune into the

fluoride questions.

Since early this year I have an email ready, chockabloc with links to all

kinds of information regarding this poison in our drinking water, and

added to many meds as well). Every time I come across more info, I add to

it.

Anyone interested in this information, please send me an email off list

with in the subject line: fluoride links, and I will email it out to you.

Cheers
