Guest guest
Lyrica is fine it is not an opioid. Guest guest
Sometimes when you are short of progesterone you can have tooth pain without the dentist finding anything. Progesterone is needed for the Myeline What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause : The Breakthrough Book on Natural Hormone Balance The book is not only about menopause I am using the Free version of SPAMfighter.SPAMfighter has removed 292 of my spam emails to date.Do you have a slow PC? Guest guest
Jodi have you got TMJ or have they not diagnosed you yet? Look it up. I have it and use a paracetamol/aspirin mix with a NSAID for a few days until I get over the worst of it as I don't like taking any of that stuff.....heat also helps on the side of my face, but cool for my forhead, what a carry on it is, you have my sympathy....... Guest guest
Jodi, You might want to read up on trigeminal neuralgia. It sounds like this could be your problem. I know someone who struggled for a long time with this, thinking it was TMJ but it wasn’t. Judy terrible jaw/tooth pain Posted by: " Jodi " jodah235@... jodah235 Fri Jul 9, 2010 9:53 pm (PDT) I have this on-going tooth/jaw issue now for 10 years. It escalated about a year ago to being a disruption. 3 days ago it got bad and tonight it is excruciating. I slept some but I would place this pain at a 9. I am unsure what they could do for me in the ER. I have been going to 2 dentists and one told me if the pain persists I may need an MRI. Thing is, I need a pain killer. I took my LDN earlier tonight and that's when the pain got unbearable. What would happen if I take a pain killer now? Would I have withdrawal symptoms and feel sick or would it just not work? Also, can I take Lyrica maybe? I have a Tylenol sensitivity and cannot take IBprofin and Aspirin. Whenever I have had an ER episode while on LDN they just load me up on Toradol. An answer ASAP would be deeply appreciated. Jodi
Guest guest
I would suggest getting the MRI. I have TMJ and wear a splint at night to help that but continue to have jaw/ear/tooth pain even when my jaw stopped being crunchy. Finally saw a neuro, got an MRI and discovered I have a congenital fusion at C2/C3 ... which of course puts more stress on the joints above and below among other things. Much of my " jaw " pain turned out to be referral from the cervical spine. I have a lot of trigeminal nerve involvement - not fun. there is also a trigeminal nerve syndrome you might want to check out. As for meds - if you take an opiod within 4-6 hours of the LDN the odds are the opiod just won't work. For some of the med sensitive folks it takes 24 hrs or more before the opiods will work again. I haven't played with it myself, so do not know for myself. Good luck. Jaxi On Fri, Jul 9, 2010 at 11:53 PM, Jodi <jodah235@...> wrote: > I have this on-going tooth/jaw issue now for 10 years.
