Guest guest
I haven't really gotten an answer re LDN and radiation - I'm hoping someone could please, please address this, as I'm about to undergo high dose radiation treatment starting in less than a week. LDN theoretically helps w/cancer in part because it slows down cell division (of all cells, including cancer). Radiation works specifically on cells that divide quickly, so my radiation oncologist is concerned that LDN will lessen the effectiveness of the radiation treatment - and that it might slow down any regrowth of bone afterwards. My regular oncologist is concerned that slowing down cell regrowth in the bones may have allowed those hip tumors to advance more quickly. Which, if any of these things, are true? And if not true, why is this not the case, if LDN slows down cell division? If it is possible that radiation and LDN are not compatible (or at least, that the LDN makes the radiation somewhat less effective), should I stop the LDN for the period of time that the radiation is taking affect? Should I worry about bone regeneration/bone strength while I'm taking LDN? Thank you, Eileen
