I am a patient advocate for Lyme disease. The complaints have come from several patients, two advocates, and my own mother...all who are savvy when it comes to Medicare and private prescription plans. In all instances the patients asked why the deviation from what would normally be done procedurally wise...they were all told the healthcare bill initiated some changes immediately upon passage....the rest is yet to come.

I will be happy to pass your contact on, if you would like to discuss their experience with them.

I am working on trying to find a specific contact for those who say theircare has changed since parts of the bill began to go into effect. When Iget a contact for all of you to email, I will certainly let you all know.I have NOT experienced a change of any kind, nor has anyone I know, and amnot convinced that the changes some talk of have anything to do with thebill, but may have something to do with insurance companies trying to getaway with crap for as long as they can before certain things go into effect, but I don't mind doing some leg work.If anyone has found a suitable contact within the government, let the othersknow, please.None of us need any more stress in our lives than we already have and ifthose with concerns can have them alleviated (or not), it is goodinformation for people to have (if they choose to read Off Topic posts).

For myself, I have experienced drastic increases in drug prices consistent with the back-room deals made between the Obama Admin and Big Pharma. Next year when prices rise yet again I will not be able to afford the medicines. In some Medicare regions a drug, whose price defies the ability of any but multi-millionaires to pay, was previously covered under Part B but has been dropped from coverage this year. This means the patients with my rare cancer dependent on these drugs will suffer horrible symptoms of the syndrome associated with the disease and such will speed their deaths. To my mind this rationing functions as a defacto 'death panel'.JackieFrom: Torrey <klcst@...>Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re:OFF TOPIC: Health Care Bill"low dose naltrexone" <low dose naltrexone >Date: Wednesday, June 9, 2010, 9:31 AM

Already Jackie and are experiencing serious negative effects from the Healthcare bill. They are the tip of the iceberg. Regarding all of us LDNers, if the petition to have the language changed in the bill pertaining to compounding pharmacies is not successful (there is no guarantee it will be) then we may all be negatively affected. If we no longer have easy access to LDN, I am sure most, if not all of us, will voice our disapproval and dismay with the Healthcare bill via this forum. This Healthcare bill is taking medical care away from those who need it. Well, like I offered last night, if I get a response from several government agencies that I emailed, and if they give me the appropriate people to contact with these concerns, I am happy to let the entire group know who can be contacted.  I'm just waiting to see who contacts me from the government.

The problem is these cuts are in the health bill, part of the dealmaking that went on behind the scenes between Obama and Pharma and the insurance industry - venting, talking to bureaucrats, writing to congress people, none of that will have any positive effect. The new health bill creates as many, if not more, problems as it purports to solve. In fact I doubt it will solve any because the growing debt to near 100% of GDP will mean drastic cuts in health care for anyone forced onto government plans - so the first to suffer will be those on Medicaid and Medicare. I am on Medicare not by choice but because I was forced to go on it when I reached age 65. I would rather be on the private insurance I had before.Jackie

The productive response to the language about the compounding pharmacies is

to petition the government to fix the problem. Going from there to talk as

if it's already failed and LDN access has been removed is borrowing trouble

and contributing to apathy that will make it less likely for people to take

action. I have been petitioning the government on various alternative

health and nutritional supplement issues since the early 1980s. I have seen

the successes we've had, including DSHEA, which I fought for. I know how

powerful the people are when we unite and take action, so I suggest that

people make sure they've signed one of the petitions, and contact your

representatives in Congress.

Hi Anita,

The Obama Health Care plan is doing exactly what it was meant to do, cull the ones who need help the most. No one listened and ‘IT’ is here.

Between the fluoride/glycerin for your teeth, fluoride for your teeth in your water, no health care and chemtrails everywhere, they are about to close the gate on everyone.
