Guest guest
,If your husband is sensitive to fillers (I am and Avicel, commonly used, is an intestinal irritant to me). Skip's uses veggie caps and sucrose if you ask. Dr. Zagon recommendsdextrose to help speed up metabolism of LDN. Sucrose is the available substitute offered by Skip's. And Skip's prices are excellent too. Some people like acidophilus filler. I'm sure you'll get plenty of responses.Jackie From: Harkins <mdub200572@...>Subject: [low dose naltrexone] getting LDN compoundedTo: low dose naltrexone Date: Saturday, May 22, 2010, 10:16 AM My husband and I are in the process of getting a prescription for LDN. We have read that we need to be really careful about the filler. If we get LDN from one of the pharmacies listed on the homepage (Skip's, Gideon's, etc), will they know what fillers to use or do we need to suggest one? Guest guest
Hi Liz. I have Crohn's disease and am on a similar diet to you. I get my LDN compounded here in New Zealand where I live. I checked the filler with the chemist. It is Microcrystalline Cellulose (also known as avicel) and dry Maize Starch. I've been on LDN for 10 weeks and have had no problems with this. In fact the LDN has been brilliant with a marked improvement in all my Crohn's symptoms. All the best....Joan > > I forgot to add that we are also on a grain-free, sugar-free, & lactose-free diet ... what fillers could be used in that case? > > Thanks! > > Liz > > > > > ________________________________ > From: Harkins <mdub200572@...> > low dose naltrexone > Sent: Sat, May 22, 2010 11:16:37 AM > Subject: [low dose naltrexone] getting LDN compounded > > > My husband and I are in the process of getting a prescription for LDN.
