Guest guest
do really mean 1/10 of 1 milliliter? What is that translated into milligrams of naltrexone? I mix 1 tablet containing 50 milligrams of naltrexone with 50 milliliters of distilled water which will equal 1 mg naltrexone per 1 ml water. As to the dreams, I mostly remember the dreams after taking LDN but not before. I find the dreams vivid but not bad nor disturbing. LDN since 11/08StirlingFrom: Sue <sgail1947@...>Subject: [low dose naltrexone] side effects questionslow dose naltrexone Date: Sunday, April 17, 2011, 9:00 AM Hello, I just took my second dose of ldn last night (0.1 ml compounded liquid) and am wondering if the vivid dreams go away in time. I was already on Hawthorne to control my blood pressure which was enabling me to remember more dreams than usual, but they have become disturbing after I go back to sleep--since starting ldn. (I wake up around 3:30 or 4 am then go back to sleep in an hour or two and begin to have the dreams. It's really difficult to get up at 7 am--today I felt like I was partially asleep on my feet when I got up--with the dream still trying to linger. I also noticed minor itching immediately after taking the ldn and wonder if I am allergic to it or if it could be stirring up my other allergies. I am extremely sensitive to drugs, supplements, and foods so my doctor is having me build up very slowly on the ldn if I tolerate it. I am supposed to take 0.1 ml again tonight, start at 0.2 ml tomorrow for 3 nights, and then 0.3. I am feeling concerned about these two issues--the dreams and the apparent allergic reaction and I would really appreciate any feedback and wisdom from those experienced with this treatment. Thank you in advance. Sue

Guest guest
Dear Sue, The agitation that you feel can be the rush of the endorphins. My suggestion is that you go with it and enjoy it. When you have not felt them in a long time, it can be a bit disconcerting, but is not something to worry about. That feeling, as well as the hyper-memory of dreams, will fade with time. One of the reasons to not titrate your dosage up slowly, is that these very minor side effects will come with EACH dosage increase. If you do not like the side effects that show that it is working, then the fewer steps you take, the better off you will be. I would venture that the reason that 90% of the discussion time was NOT spent on this question in the past (like it seems to be now), was because most people started at 3 and jumped quickly to 4.5mg, pretty much bypassing these continual minor side effects. Remember that lots of people start at 50mg without examining every dream that they wake up with. The idea that everybody needs to start with an unfelt dose and increase at a rate that also leaves them unaffected, seems backwards to me. I want to know that something is happening and feeling the endorphins, especially at 3 or 4 in the morning, means that I am on the way to improving my health. Being antsy and more awake seems minor compared to the disasters that so many other drugs make of our bodies. I know that each of us minutely examines our bodies when we first start, but we should be examining them to see what changes are happening and being pleased to find that SOMETHING positive is finally taking place. Go with it, you won't be sorry. My opinion, Francie, whose two year anniversary of my new life is May 1. http://LDN-for-MS.com > > Dear List Mates, > I am resending this email, as I did not include the dosage which is .50 mg per 0.1 ml.
