Guest guest Posted October 29, 2004 Report Share Posted October 29, 2004 Hi Everyone, I had put up a post before about the camp/retreat weekend I've organized but I just wanted to let everyone know that there are currently still 6 spots open for it so it's not too late to sign up! The weekend will be November 18-21 (thursday to sunday). Arriving on Friday is fine. It will be held at The Barton Center (www.bartoncenter.org) in North Oxford, MA which is about 10 miles south of Worcester. It's easily accessible from the Providence airport (T.F. Green) and I'm available to pick people up as long as they arrive by noon on Thursday. There are local motels close to the camp for people who would like to arrive early or stay longer. The camp is open to people of all ages (the range right now is 6 - adults of all ages). There is a good sized group of teens/20-somethings coming. Healthy family members and siblings are encouraged to come, too. The weekend will be an opportunity to meet other Lymies from all over the country, get and give support, and have some rest and relaxation. Activities will include yoga and meditation, arts and crafts, creative writing, support groups, and more! Meals will be provided and prepared for participants (except breakfast which will be continental). The cost for the weekend is $80 for adults and $70 for children 12 and younger. If anyone has financial hardships that would make full payment difficult, e-mail me and we can work something out. No one should be left out because of money! I need to have a final count no later than November 1st so this gives you a few days to think about it and let me know if you want to come! Also, if you can't come but would like to support the retreat, donations are greatly appreciated. They will help cover the cost of insurance for the weekend (required by the camp) as well as other expenses. E-mail me and I'll be happy to tell you where you can send checks.
