Guest guest
Judy, I too, am unsure of what exactly the test results mean. I tested positive or " reactive " on several bands on Western Blot for Lyme. Then my blood was sent to IgeneX labs in California. The same bands came up and several more but as equivocal. I don't know what that means. My Dr. did treat me for two weeks with I.V. Rocephin but I still have joint pain, low grade fevers, neurological problems at times and great fatigue and more. I was told I had CFIDS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) since 1986. It's interesting to read on here how many others were told that. It's hard to know whether to pursue more treatment or feel " this is it " having had it too long. But any help on results would be appreciated-interpreting the equivocal and what it means. Can you or anyone explain what equivocal means on Igenex Labs results-had a bunch of bands show that on the test. Western Blot just said " reactive " to about 4 or 5 bands. Thanks, Still trying to learn out here and appreciate a young woman who responded to me on a list who told me she suspected Lyme in me before my tests even were done!
