Guest guest
Deanna - I did three (3 weeks each) treatments of mepron and then went to arteminisin. deb [ ] quinine & clindamycin Checked our archives for these two babesia drugs and couldn't find anything, so I'm asking here. I could swear I'd read some posts about them in the past regarding babesia treatment. Anyway, I did see my LLMD in NY state yesterday. He was happy to hear that I'm feeling much better than I was a year ago. He said that he thinks I really need to deal with the babesia. Everything I've tried so far has given me an allergic reaction. The choices he gave me were Larium (never, never, never) or combo of quinine and clindamycin. He says that I probably will feel hellish. And that taking just seven days worth of this combo will help me feel *much* better, and be able to get past a plateau in my Lyme recovery. What have other people's experiences been with the quinine/clindamycin protocol, please? I remember someone writing to me about a year ago how helpful doing quinine was for her. I'm planning on starting tomorrow morning. Will try just the quinine for a day to test it out and then add the antibiotic the next day. I am planning that my life may have to be on hold for these seven days.
