Guest guest
Hi all, I called McGreevy's office this morning and was put through to his aid and told her about Sandy Mishky's plight with DYFS. She said that Sandy had to write and call herself, and that she should have an attorney. I told her that I was sure that she did that already. She said that she couldn't give any info out but took Sandy's name from me to look it up herself. She said that if it a court matter, the Governor's office could not do anything because of the division of power. I called Sandy to tell her this and she said that DYFS was at her home now about to take her kids away. I told her what McGreevy's office said and she told me that it hasn't been filed in the court yet, so the Governor's office could still get involved. She asked me to e-mail Pat and let her know what is going on, which I did. My heart goes out to this woman. I also tried to call the DYFS number, but had no luck getting through to anyone. I wonder how something like this can happen when there is so much more Lyme awareness these days, as compared to when my children, my husband and I were sick in the late '80's though the mid-'90's. I often get so angry as to why Lyme is such a political disease with so many damn ?????. Where would our Lyme children be if they didn't have their parents fighting for them to get treatment.
