Guest guest
Hi I am very interested in knowing about UK endocrinologists. I have no definate diagnosis but have been sick for 8 years. We now have a working diagnosis of fibromyalgia but it isnt a perfect fit. I has a bullseye rash some years back befor I became ill but two tests for Lyme have been negative. Also thyroid test was normal. However steroids have a near miraculus affect on me so looking at adrenal function would be a good idea but my GP says no endocrinologist available for referal. I live in Winnersh in Berkshire. I dont have full the practice address handy but it is " ide Group Practice " ide Close, Lower Early, Berks. No idea of postcode etc. > If you live in the UK and are hypothyroid and your doctor has not > referred you to an endocrinologist, please could you send the full > name and address of the practice where your General Practitioner is > based. Guest guest
thyroid treatment is UK based ...ask them and they'll send you a list Also ask for Dr Peatfield's details (the doc from Sussex..he is a lovely human). > > Does anyone know of any open minded NHS endocrinologists in UK. I know there are a few as I once had a young friend who's thyroid tests were " normal " (borderline) yet he still prescribed thyroxine for her and it changed her life. She was always saying how good he was. Sussex somewhere. > > Adrienne. >
