Guest guest
Get her to a Good MD. Have blood tests done, including for lyme. It could be anything.......... it could be lyme. Once you have a better understanding of what is going on. Then find the appropriate MD. If it does turn out to be lyme......then make sure you go to a LLMD. In looking for a good MD..........perhaps you can find one who is an internist or rheumatologist, with a interest in treating lyme. What State do you live in? And if not what do we do? === Hi Daryel... you did not say how old your sister is... and you dont say if she had these symptoms before or after the surgeries and for how long she has had these symptoms.... or if she had tick exposure or symptoms in the past.... that will help as far as making suggestions go... and I am no expert... this could be many things... a simple thing could be::: I can tell you that the burning symptoms of lower body and stomach area are something I suffer from and is a symptom of LOW B 12 vitamin... I just got a shot of b12 saturday due to severe pain as you describe.... and skin is swollen, hot to touch, feels like muscles ripping and burning.... and you cannot breath becuase your red blood cells cannot transport oxygen... I feel like I am dying and I also lose appetite and feel bedridden.. you say her diet is suffering and that will make matters worse/poor nutrition.... there are several disorders that can cause low b12 and if not treated/supplemented you can become critical. I would hope a doctor has done some routine blood work and blood counts.... what were her results??? wbc/rbc etc? ON THE OTHER HAND.... OTHER than that so many things could be happening... if this is all AFTER the surgery then I would suspect an internal / systemic INFECTION from the surgeries... that could cause all that stuff and rashes etc... hospital aquired STAPH is very serious consider it suspect... I would also suspect that they could have made a boo-boo during surgery and damaged a nerve / lymph gland etc /or something that is causing this... I would think if they have run all kinds of tests and tested fluids from her internals they would find something... or that they would have done an exploratory surgery to open her and look and see what is going on.... if she is suffering an infection from her surgery it may become fatal if not treated.... IS SHE ONLY seeing a doctor??? Have you gone to the ER??? Have they tried antibiotics if infection? WHat tests have they done what have they ruled out??? If you have not been to an emergency room get her there now... and if you think the doctors are not taking care of her go somewhere else. ((after a shoulder surgery a young man i know had problems the shoulder surgeon said he was fine i said go to another doctor i told him he was infected inside from the surgery he went to another doc who drew fluid and sent to lab... was staph she treated him he went back to surgeon who said NOOOO you couldnt have staph..... EVEN THOUGH LAB confirmed it!!! that doc was just afraid to admit it or get sued or somtheing and risked this young mans health!!! SO do not believe the doc she is seeing if this is the one who did surgery!))))) You did not say if she was exposed to ticks etc but this sounds more like it is related to her surgery .... unless you write back with more info.... but something is wrong and she needs care asap, I am sorry to hear what you are going thru! GO TO THE ER asap and refuse to leave until she is diagnosed......... -celia in vermont (noticed another celia on this board so will specify myself as c in vt.) Guest guest
Daryel, Are you and your sister in Charlotte, or nearby? If so, I would be glad to give you contact info off site for my LLMD. People come from distances to this clinic. Regards, > Guys, > > I have a sister who is really sick. She has lower back " Buttocks > Pain.
