Guest guest
* 'Cobwebs' on my face * Feeling heat from a 60W lightbulb 4 to 6 feet away * Can feel and read some newsprint with fingertips * Colours have different temperatures and textures when touching them * Highly acute hearing - especially whispers, or high pitched noises far away * Very sensitive sense of smell * Sheets in bed feel 'heavy' on legs * Fluorescent tubes the 'wrong way round' cause annoying 'swirls' leading to headache * Bright lighting is painful - instant headache! * And yes, the fabric thing - even with a good fabric a *sudden* change in temperature makes for an intolerable itching on my back and chest. The worst times are when leaving an air-conditioned building, or walking into one that has heat-blowers over the door. Blessings, Kezzi. . . . Guest guest
Here's a good one - I had the print changing colors on the page when I was reading books. Sometimes blue; sometimes red. It looked like I was reading an internet page with highlighted links - but I wasn't. > Hey. Red itchy welts when I lean against something or when something touches me with the least amount of pressure is a symptom that I had for about a year. The dermatologist called it Dermagraphism. It was the lyme affecting the skin. Another sensory problem was that it felt like cold rain drops was hitting my skin, when it wasn't raining at all. Drove me crazy. It was the lyme affecting my nervous system.
Guest guest
For me, skin sensitivity is a daily ordeal. I have been told that it can be related to a build up of toxins in my system. I suffer from systemic yeast also, and when it flares I get painful red rashes on my body. Touching anything bothers or hurts me. Esp. adhesive or scratchy things. My skin will break down in a short time, just from forgetting to take off a bandaid! I sleep on a fleece blanket. I wear loose pollar fleece clothing at all times. I even pay $9.00 a pair for fleece socks!! The use of fleece has not solved the overall problem, but it has given me more relief than anything else I've tried. Hope this helps. Guest guest
That is a good one! Here are two of mine that are especially interesting: * Cold water running over my hands sometimes feels like it's burning hot. * When taking clothes out of the dryer that have some static electricity in them, sometimes it triggers nerve pain shooting from my fingers all the way up my arms. Guest guest
Yes! I'm glad you said something about the cold water feeling like it's burning hot. It's like that with me. My skin 'hurts' all the time. Clothes hurt. My skin prickles like needels and pins. The shower water hurts. Bath water hurts. Sometimes I feel like I just want to rip my skin off just to get relief. It comes in waves. Ripples. It drives me nuts! > That is a good one!
