Idea to help finance diognostic tests

If you have maxed out your insurance for diognostic tests and

bloodwork and do not qualify for government assistance, try this:

Ask if your local hospital has a program that will help pay for all

or part of the tests and procedures that you would have to pay for

out of pocket. I did and found that they do! It takes two steps:

#1. Apply for and be denied gov't assistance (ie., Medicaid)

#2. Take the letter of denial to the hospital cashier's office and

apply for their program. The discount can be anywhere from 25% to

100% off the costs depending on income.

The woman in the office told me that this program was set up

for those who, like me, fall between the cracks.
