Guest guest Posted February 28, 2004 Report Share Posted February 28, 2004 If you have maxed out your insurance for diognostic tests and bloodwork and do not qualify for government assistance, try this: Ask if your local hospital has a program that will help pay for all or part of the tests and procedures that you would have to pay for out of pocket. I did and found that they do! It takes two steps: #1. Apply for and be denied gov't assistance (ie., Medicaid) #2. Take the letter of denial to the hospital cashier's office and apply for their program. The discount can be anywhere from 25% to 100% off the costs depending on income.
