Doxy & Way High BP? Quick Response Would Help!

Greetings...My Lyme " specialist " discovered that my BP was way high yesterday -

156/104. He put me on Verapamil 180 mg. for the BP, and ran some blood work -

not sure if the Doxy is building up in my system. When I first got out of bed

this AM, I checked my BP, and it was 156/104. I'm seeing my PCP this afternoon.

I've never had BP problems prior to Lyme. Has anyone else experienced high BP

due to Lyme, Doxy, or Lyme treatment? Thanks...Tom

Tom, was out of town, so slow response... my BP went from very low to more

normal, so it did increase when my lyme got really bad right before I was

finally diagnosed. Also, I have " episodes " where my BP goes up. This never

happened before my lyme got bad. It's been better since I started treatment

but still happens sometimes. On the plus side, my heart palpitations have

almost gone away compared to how they were when I started treatment. So I

know it affected my heart. Beth

Me again...My PCP put me on Lisinopril, in addition to the Verapimil (Calan) -

the 2 blood pressure meds seem to be working. My blood pressure is now back to

normal. I'm guessing it's the Lyme / Lyme treatment - I have all kinds of weird

things over the past 4 years (since getting infected) that I never had before.

I'm holding onto the hope that I will get well and be able to stop taking this

variety of meds...Tom
