Guest guest
I credit my ability to get SSI due to the way my doctor filled out the form, I had an attorney, and I went an email to a political figure in my state. I feel the bottom line was the way the doctor filled out the form. I don't know what he put on the form, but it worked. I too was sent to a couple of doctors and a shrink. I, too, didn't think much of them. But, my goal was on finding a way to get well. Their goal was just to take the info and do a report. I have not read their reports so I may have a different perspective on them if I had read the reports. I hope this helps. Kate
Guest guest
Now is the time you get an attorney. One that understands LD, but one that specializes in disability. Let the lawyer fight for your rights. It usually takes an attorney anyway (I worked for a group of docs that did the disability exams). Would get an attorney in your location. Not sure if you need one where the tort happened, but a local attorney will be able to direct you. Sue lbizee <lbisbee@...> wrote: Dear Group, I really need some help. Applied for disability last year when I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue and Fibro. I was accepted into University of Miami Chronic Fatigue study to evaluate a drug. I had been pursuing Lyme tests on my own and traveled to Jemsek in North Carolina. In October I tested positive for Babesia. I was with drawn from the Chronic Fatigue study. Social security sent me to two of their doctors. One psychiatric and one general doctor. The general doctor spent 4 minutes with me. I gave him my Babesia results. He told me he was not aware of Babesia and no one in his office had ever heard of it. I received a turn down letter from Social Security in December. Question: How do you appeal? Do I get an attorney in North Carolina where my Lyme doctor is? I feel so isolated and beat up. People tell me " Just write a letter " I can barely think one moment to the next. Any ideas or referals would be so appreciated. B West Palm area
Guest guest
Anyone who applys for SS dis has to get a lawyer. They take a portion when you are approved.
