Guest guest
Yes, mine swell as well and now never completely go down. Just wondering, have you ever been tested for cat sratch fever (Bartonella)? I know that you can have swollen lymph nodes from both lymes and CSF but, my doc. feels mine are worse from having both. Does any else have enlarged lymph nodes in their neck? Mine are really bothersome. They don't hurt when I touch them, they are very hard, and they ache after I drink alcohol- which is really strange. They are so deep in my neck muscles that they make my muscles hurt. I think I have about 4 or 5 of them like that as well as one enlarged one in my groin that is also hard and is not tender. I've had some of them for at least a year or so, but think a few of them are new. I am wondering if I should be concerned about this or if is just another aspect to Lyme? I would appreciate any feedback! Thanks, Jessie
Guest guest
I copied the following off of http://www.lymenet.com from a search using " swollen lymph nodes " There is tons of links there. I have had this too, and have done some research on it, which at least for me explained some things. I'd suggest you do a and pubmed search for parotid glands, parotitis, and Stensen's duct. Even though I have taken anatomy courses on the head and neck I never knew that your parotid glands (the ones you describe behind your ears) actually lead to ducts located on the inside of your cheeks by your molars (teeth). In fact, I never even noticed them until they too were swollen. There is one duct on each side of your mouth, near the back of your top row of teeth. These ducts are where a lot of your saliva comes from. At first I thought I bit the side of my cheek and it got infected, and then I wondered if maybe there was a cyst in there. My tonsils have been slightly swollen for the past few months, and I was doing research on that when I stumbled upon the info on the ducts, which put together some things. At one point my parotid gland got really painful for a few days and it almost felt like something had burst in my ear. Now I know it was probably parotitis. Guest guest
THanks all - makes me feel a little better. I should tell you that i had been going to an oncologist/hematologist who thought it might have been a slow-moving lymphoma so that is why i am a little concerned. He wanted to do a bone marrow biopsy but i decided against it becaues i thought it was from the Lyme and didn't want to go through pain unnecessarily. I have some symptoms that could be either lyme or " something else " so it is very hard for me to get a diagnosis. ~Jessie > I copied the following off of http://www.lymenet.com from a search using " swollen lymph nodes " There is tons of links there. > > > I have had this too, and have done some research on it, which at least for me explained some things.
