Guest guest
I am writing to see if I could talk to anyone who had a Lupus Like rash reaction to minocycline. I think that's what's going on with me. I am wondering if other symptoms I am having right now could be that also. Thanks, Ann
Guest guest
Sidney I was wondering if that heat theory would work like resting it on your stomach or such. Does it sound far fetched or possible? If you are on a new medication and have Lyme disease the Lyme bacteria is probably trying to get away from the medication and is close to the skin surface causing a rash. A good heating pad placed at the sight of the rash will kill the bacteria and eliminate the rash. Even a container filled with hot water and placed against the rash will kill the bacteria. The water needs to be pretty hot but you can keep a cloth between yourself and the container. All my best regards! I can assure that it works as I have performed the treatment on more than several occasions. It will work anywhere the Lyme bacteria is close to the skin surface. I suppose a good hot bath would also work, but it will not destroy bacteria when it is deeper inside the body. The heat is what does the job so if there was a way to get the heat deeper insde the body all the bacteria could be killed. I have pretty extensive experience with Lyme and have tried many things. Different treatments have produced varying results. Sometimes with near fatal results, I suppose due to a HERX condition with too much die off at one time. This is not a problem with a heating pad at all, however. Best regards! Sidney
Guest guest
You should talk with your doctor. Minocycline can cause a transient lupus-like syndrome. Other rashes have also been reported with this drug. > I am writing to see if I could talk to anyone who had a Lupus Like rash reaction to minocycline. I think that's what's going on with me. Guest guest
<<<The heat is what does the job so if there was a way to get the heat deeper inside the body all the bacteria could be killed.>>>> Exercise can help in this area, as well as hot tubs and saunas. If only we could manage to get off the couch to actually exercise. I know it isn't easy, but I know the buggers hate it.......that's why we always feel worse after exercise....bacteria die off increases....I never did any walking or a hot bath or shower close to bed time.........it disturbed my sleep even more.
