Guest guest
Yes, and supposedly it does. It's also called " neck creaks. Guest guest
Cracking in the ears doesn't sound like lyme disease symptom. Ringing in the ears is but I would get another oppinion by an ears nose and throat specialist. Randy I don't know if I have joint crepitation or not. > The area behind my ears clicks when I tilt my head, does that count? > Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? Guest guest
possible TMJ and I think this has a lyme relation if I am correct. Re: [ ] Filling out the symptom checklist.... I don't know what I have but every once in a while my ear cracks, when I talk, eat or move my jaw. I have gone to the Doctor to see if I had fluid in my ear and I don't. It goes away and then it comes back. My doctor thinks it is nuroloical(sp) but It drives me crazy. Janet Reifsnyder <piercethedrk@...> wrote:I don't know if I have joint crepitation or not. Guest guest
Freebird My ears were always filled w/fluid, but this has subsided. One of the reasons I couldn't hear. I feel it is a part of lyme sicne it is much better. I had so much fluid and it was always plug. That got better. [ ] Re: Filling out the symptom checklist.... I also have the clicking sounds in my ear, and sometimes I get a feeling of pressure or fullness in the ears along with dizziness. I was evaluated by a neurologist for this over a year ago and they determined through testing that I have hydrops in the inner ear, which means too much fluid pressure. It comes and goes, in one ear or both. The neurologist said a virus could be to blame. My gut feeling is that it is part of Lyme disease. If borrelia spirochetes are in the vestibular system, I'm sure they can cause all kinds of ear-related problems. Tomorrow I'm seeing an LLMD for the first time. I'm excited and nervous about it, because it's finally the " moment of truth. " I really think Lyme disease is the answer for me, but the doctor and the tests will tell whether or not my self-diagnosis is correct. I'll let the group know how it goes. Guest guest
Could be temperomandibular joint dysfunction... common in CFIDS/FM/LD... I have it but the cracks are VERY LOUD. I was never aware of it really until my dad once told me off for making 'such a noise' at the dinner table when I was a young teen. Now my jaw occasionally locks if I sleep 'funny' on it...
