When I am feeling like death with Lyme et al, people tell me how terrific I look. It's such a paradox. Believe your gut, not your doctor, is what I say. Guest guest
it's short sighted in my opinion for your dr. to assume that your daughter's Lyme has cleared up completely. Lyme is Pleomorphic and so it does have a cyst form that can be resistant to antibiotics, more so than the corkscrew form, as far as I understand. Also, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of re-infection from you or her sisters, given that Lyme Spirochetes can be found in the saliva. > > Just got back from tasking my daughter to the doctors...she hasn't > been sleeping well...I feel that her Lyme Disease may be acting up...She > is screaming about going to school...says she doesn't feel good. > > I mentioned to the doctor that perhaps her LYme is acting up...and she > said we have been through this before and I don't believe she has > Lyme...even though she has a positive PCR...feels she has been treated > that is that. Guest guest
Cyntha, Regarding her brightness and reaction about going to school and feeling badly..... would homeschooling be an option until her health improves? Just a thought! Beth [ ] urghhh...docs... Just got back from tasking my daughter to the doctors...she hasn't been sleeping well...I feel that her Lyme Disease may be acting up...She is screaming about going to school...says she doesn't feel good. I mentioned to the doctor that perhaps her LYme is acting up...and she said we have been through this before and I don't believe she has Lyme...even though she has a positive PCR...feels she has been treated that is that. I am very flustered right now. I am tired and cranky and mainly need to vent. They believe all her problems are behavorial. That we are spoiling her and that she is only wanting the comfort from us..perhaps that is partly true... She is as bright as a bug. Matter of fact they say she may need to skip a grade later. Can a child be real bright and then have psychological issues with Lyme..or am I pulling at the wrong button...Is it really something we are doing.?? Other than her nodules...she appears to be healthy lately....Am I fighting a losing battle...she doesn't look sick therefore she isn't is what the doctors believe. Some advice would be great. I know I shouldn't complain since my kids are doing rather well lately...I know many other kids are sicker than mine.
