Hello,

I have written before regarding my adult son (34 yrs) and ill with CFS for ten

years now. He has all of the symptoms of lyme and so I suggested he undergo

lyme testing. All the tests were done including co-infections, all negative. I

spoke with testing doctor this week and he only goes by the tests unless the

clinical diagnosis is highly indicative of infection. He will not treat my son

as he has no recall of a tick bite, no bull's eye rash, etc. etc. You know the

routine.

My son read the symptoms of lyme and felt he was reading a history of his

health. Consequently, he asked his regular physician to start him on

doxycycline 100 mg, 2 times per day. He has felt worst on the antibiotics

particularly he feels as though his brain is going to sleep, plus muscle aches,

headache and neck pain.

Of course, I am worried as to whether we are doing the right thing.

My question - Does this reaction to antibiotics sound familiar? Any feedback

would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Bea

I don't want you to diagnose on anything that I would say, but the

symtoms sound familiar.

:)
