Hi, Robyn

I am interested. Being very Internet Challenged I'd need a walk through. I

have not figured out how to clean up a reply yet. I'm willing to learn.

Thanks,

Millie

A chat room is available for the members of Lyme Aid.

Is anyone willing to volunteer to " host " a weekly or monthly chat session?

All that is required is choosing a chat time that is best for you and being in

the chat room at the designated time to greet members. Many members could take

on the responsibility of various times and days, or a few members could all

guarantee to be there at one time. Whatever works best!

Let me know if you're interested or if you have any questions about a chat.

Millie,

Let's start with cleaning up a reply. =)

When you hit " reply " your email program automatically includes the email

message you are replying to.

Use your mouse to " highlight " the part of the email message that you want to

delete. (This would be the " footer " at the bottom of every Lyme Aid

message.) To highlight text, left click your mouse button and hold down the

button while you drag your mouse over the message part you want to delete.

You'll see the letters become " highlighted " . Stop holding down the mouse

button once you have the text highlighted. On you key board find the key

that says " delete " and hit it. This will delete all the text you have

highlighted.

There are actually a few ways to do this. I have given you just one option.

In time you may learn to do it a different way and that will be fine.

If you delete too much, most email programs have an " undo " button at the

top. Clicking on this will bring back the deleted text.

This can be difficult to get used to. We all learn in different ways at

different speeds. If you need more explanation, just let me know and I'll

do my best to help.

The chat room will hopefully be a little easier for you.

Go to: /chat

You'll need to " sign in " with your ID and password if you haven't

visited the website lately. Look for a blue hyperlink that says " Sign In "

and click on it. This should bring up a sign in box.

Once you've signed in, a large chat box will appear. To the right a box

will show you the IDs of all the people in the chat room. If you

visit there to see how things work, you'll most likely be the only one

listed. Below the large box is a smaller box. This is where you will type

what you want to say.

Type your message. Use your mouse to click on " Send " or hit your return

key. Your message will appear in the large chat box.

Other chatters will respond and you'll be able to read what they've said.

You can then reply to them.

Test this whenever you have the chance. Though most likely no one will be

there to respond to you, you'll still get the chance to see the chat room

and send messages. This will help you get a feel for how the room works.

Once you get the hang of it, pick a day and time to host your first chat.

Let me know if you have ANY questions! You can email me on list or off at

-Owner .

=)
