Guest guest
[MedicaidforHDOT] Rejecting medical claims A couple of weeks ago I spoke with a friend who teaches at Emory School of Medicine. He said he has a 1st year student who also works as a claims processor for a health insurance company. The student/processor has been instructed by management to deny every 7th claim--no matter what--as standard operating procedure. I asked if I could talk with the student/processor and get documentation of this, but the student/processor is unwilling to talk for fear of being fired. Interesting. I wonder if this " practice " is common throughout the industry? ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Freels 2948 Windfield Circle Tucker, GA 30084-6714 770/491-6776 (phone and fax) 720/269-5289 (efax, sends fax as email attachment) mailto:dfreels@... http://www.freelanceforum.org/df <http://www.freelanceforum.org/df>
