Firstly LDN can do NO harm, no matter what time of day you take

it. I don’t know what you take it for or how long you have been

taking it – this would be helpful. Some report sleep disturbances

for up to 2 weeks as far as I am aware when taken at night. Perhaps I can

share with you my partner’s experience by ‘experimenting’.

He suffers from SPMS and started taking LDN at night which he stuck to for

almost a year. Being a scientist wanted to find out if it made any

difference to:-

lowering the dose

taking it every other day

taking it every 36 hours (?!!)

After weeks of what I’m sure were ‘enjoyable’ experiments

he is now back to taking 3.5mg of LDN at night (every night) which he has found

most beneficial for him and wouldn’t do it any other way. I take

LDN for UC – night time protocol – 3mg.

Some do prefer day time dosing and find that preferable for them

as like you, due to sleep issues but thought I’d share the above with

you. The most important thing is, it can’t do you any harm.

Hope that helps.

Subject: [low dose naltrexone] taking LDN in the morning

I couldn't tolerate the insomnia when taking LDN at night so my

doctor advised me to take it in the morning. He has very little experience with

patients on LDN so I don't look to him as an expert in this matter.

I wonder if LDN is as effective taken in the morning? Will I

still receive the benefits? IS there any harm?

Can anyone share their experience or articles related to

this question. thanks
