What good would a 50mg tablet be to people on LDN? dont people start on a low dose first ? my doctor started me on LDN recently and im on one 3mg tablet a night for the first month then i have to increase to four 5mg tablets... does this sound right?

In Ireland LDN cost me just over 200.00 euro's for the first months supply of 30, 3mg tablets. I thought when reading up on LDN it was meant to be cheap!!!!!!!!

It sounds right. You apparently have a 30 day supply of 3.0 mg capsules of LDN. Has your doctor given you a prescription for 4.5 mg caps you will begin taking once the 3.0 mg caps are finished? That's my interpretation of your description. Does that help?JackieFrom: mark lambert <lambo042002@...>Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Cost of LDN supplementary"LDN Group" <low dose naltrexone >, boblist@...Date: Saturday, May 15, 2010, 5:56 AM

My head is wrecked i dont know if im doin things right or wrong with this LDN. The container basicly only says this:

Naltrexone HCL (Hydrochloride) 3mg tabs (there actually in capsule form)

One at night for one month, then take 4, 5mg tablets (that part i dont understand)

Then it also says capsules each contain:

Naltraxone Hydrochloride 3mg

(Dilutent: Lactose)

Is this the right LDN i honestly havent a clue....

you increase to 4.5mg per night, not four 5mg.

in ireland you are getting screwed.

there's other folks in ireland on this list that can help to direct you.

Mark that sounds right, has the Dr given you some 3 mgs and some 4.5 mgs as well? I am presuming he is starting you lower to see how it goes before you start the 4.5. All capsules have a filler, well the majority do, and lactose is OK as long as you are not intolerant to it, the filler in mine is lactose.....

Mark, when people get the 50mg tablets they dissolve them in 50mls of distilled water and measure out their dose from this each night, in your case it would be 3 mls. Increasing to four 5 mg capsules is not right, he perhaps meant increase to 4.5 mgs which would be correct unless you are maybe built like an elephant!!:-))) That is expensive, are you in the north? If so you could send your scripts to Dicksons in Glasgow and he charges £15 a month for a liquid dose or £30 per month for capsules. You are paying too much......

it looks like the comma is used there instead of a period for a decimal point, and he gets 3.0 and 4.5 mg

just don't get them mixed up if received all at the same time.

Hi,

Thanks for all the replies my

mind is a bit more at ease il think you are all right too it should mean to

increase to 4.5mg and not take 4 x 5mg capsules. If i took that much

you all might start getting some crazy posts on this site from me lol. anyway i

only have my months supply on me now will get next supply june 1st.

Also even though the cost in

ireland for me is over 200 euros im under the medical prescription scheme

meaning i get whatever meds i have to for 120 euros per month so maybe its not

such a rip off for me but for people that have to pay full amount thats tough..

Thanks again, Mark

Fortunately, AllDayChemist.com is NOT requiring the Rx now. I just ordered about 70 yesterday. It is for four people. I can't wait for them to be able to start on it.

Glowing, grace~
