Guest guest
The " CRABs " refer to the standard MS treatments: Copaxone, Rebiff, Avonex, Betaseron The only CRAB that is compatible with LDN is Copaxone because it is not an immuno-suppressant. Rebiff, Avonex, and Betaseron all work against LDN's ability to boost the immune system. Hope that helps. > > Larry, what is CRABS? Guest guest
Yes... Me... I was on Copaxone from March '08 to March '09, then switched to LDN. Truth be told....I'm much worse than I was two years ago....but, taking LDN helped confirm that my MS was the result of Chronic Neurological Lyme Disease. I'm in that phase of Lyme treatment, with antibiotics and LDN, where you have to get much worse before you get better. 1st step is controlling the infection and the toxins associated with it. Then working to get the body back to a state in which it can heal the damage the infection has caused over time. Its a very complex disorder. My LLMD seems to think I've been fighting my Lyme disease for close to 30 years (I'm 40). He's hoping I'll feel better in the next two years or so. My point is that if I hadn't done the research on LDN, I never would have found out about my Lyme infection and I would still be on a CRAB drug and on a down hill slope to the grave. With my problems being caused by Lyme though....there is actual hope I will get better. Hope that helps. >Do you know anyone that has stopped the copaxone, and just took the >LDN? > >Sent from my BlackBerry device on the Wireless Network > > > > > > Larry, what is CRABS? Guest guest
So did you start copaxone again, because you said you completely stopped it. What made you start the copaxone again. I'm confused. Please clarify.Sent from my BlackBerry device on the Wireless NetworkFrom: sunbubble410@...Date: Mon, 19 Apr 2010 19:03:28 +0000<caj229@...>Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: Copaxone and LDN, nope, just LDNI myself was on a few crab drugs..last on Copaxone.. The last 4 months I used Copaxone I also took LDN every night.. My symptom improvement was so great I stopped the Copaxone completely. That was almost 2 yrs ago. There have not been any exacerbations. I try to eliminate stress with exercise and that helps a lot. I have modified my diet and take D3, ALA, and B12. All but one of my brain leisons have disappeared .. I continued with the Copaxone until I felt the LDN was working. Best of luck..
