Guest guest
From discussions about " catch in the throat " on this list. Coconut oil which contains water is not stable over time. I have never had that problem with any other cocnut oil I have tried. When I have had problems with other suppliers, they apologized and sent me more product. Tropical traditions never admitted to a problem and did not give me replacement oil. Alobar On 8/21/08, weighttrainer <cbumgarner@...> wrote: > Also, how do you know the oil was going bad? Guest guest
Mercola sometimes has good advice. But when he get blinded by his profit motive he can be a real turkey. Guest guest
Same with me. I use the Gold Label version. I have used the Green label one as well previously. I've used the glass jar and the big plastic gallon tub. > > I'm new here but I have to say I have never had a 'throat catch' problem and I use Tropical Traditions. > > One Day At A Time.............. > > Jean > >
Guest guest
I¹ve only ever tasted Spectrum and Nutiva. Nutiva¹s product is far far superior to Spectrum, that is for sure. I got my last Nutiva through an amazing deal on amazon.com. I should check often to see if they offer it again, but I forget to do that. Guest guest
I suspect the problem is rare, otherwise Tropical Traditions would be put out of business. It is how they handled my problem which made me never want to do business with them again. Guest guest
Hey ! Welcome. You'll like it here! I have a question for you. Where did you buy your NOW brand vitamins and stuff? I've been looking for them in Europe (I'm in Sweden) but with no luck. I currently buy a different brand from a company in the Netherlands, so it would make much difference to me for shipping, but I'd like to get the NOW brand stuff since it's what Bee recommends. Also, I haven't been able to find Betaine HCL yet. My husband picked up a bottle for me in Canada on his last trip there, but I only have the one bottle, so I'm rationing them. Anyway, if you know of any sites from which to order supplements, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! , a fellow warrior (I love that!) > > <snip> I took Super Enzymes from NOW and that gave some relief, if I forgot to take them I got all of the symptoms back again. Guest guest
Target has straight walled containers with a top and spigot for $20. It holds over a gallon, but not sure how much. Maybe 2 gallons.
Guest guest
maybe if you stated where you lived someone might be able to help you find a scoby & some starter tea in your area?? I am a newbie myself, I am brewing my 1st batch. I got mine from someone locally that I just happened to have gotten kefir grains from & she turned me on to kombucha. She gave me a nice big & thick (6 inches across maybe & an inch thick)scoby. I ordered one from ebay & it was about 2 1/2 to 3 inches across & oh i'd say 1/8th inch thick.... Guest guest
Gail had offered a scoby, I just haven't been able (Dad in hospital with bypass surgery) to drive that far to get it yet--so couldn't wait any longer and started my own. I can only hope for someday an inch thick scoby (smile) (sigh).
