Guest guest
We have not experienced rashes or hives. However, in the research I've done on PFS, could it be possible that your son might have another flavor of PFS, such as TRAPS? It is my understanding that in TRAPS the kids have rashes that migrate all over their body, just as you describe. HIDS & NOMID also exhibit rashes, but in NOMID they are described more as hives that are not painful, as you are experiencing Are you in the process of getting genetic tests done? I know when we had tested the doctors questioned me a lot about rashes, as I think they were looking more closely at a non- diagnosis first. Guest guest
That same thing happened to Sky. She had them for a couple hours. They were all over her body. She said they hurt at first. But then didn't seem to care about them. I freaked out and made a doctors appointment. But by the time we were about to leave for the doctors they were gone. She was not fevering at the time and has no allergies (that I know of) -Hali mom to Sky (2.5 fevers since 1 year old)
Guest guest
our son gets a few hives on his face. they seem to be triggered by food - dairy we think. they are literally there for a few hours, and then they disappear. I have a hunch that there is something in food that may be tiggering this whole thing. He's been tested for allergies and comes out with flying colors, just saying that of all the things I can think about, food seems to be something that might be the cause. Also wonder why cimetidine - a stomach/antacid medicine as well as singulair - an asthma and allergy medication have some effect. Just thinking out loud... Guest guest
My daughter would get the prickly hives that came and went quickly all the time right before and sometimes during an episode. She was tested for all of those and they tested negative. She has had her tonsils out and been fever free for over a year now. North <melissas75@...> wrote: We have not experienced rashes or hives. Guest guest
STOPPPPP! Maybe after the welts heal, try again slowly. If you are allergic, it may be the filler. Talk to your pharmacy about different fillers. Steve > > Hello All: > Has anyone had hives while taking LDN? I have been taking LDN for about two weeks and am up to 2.0ml right now. Yesterday I woke up with hives and they are just getting worse. Started out with little mosquito bites and now there are gigantic welts. They itch and are so painful, the welts are breaking the capillaries in my skin and making bruises. On top of all of this I am having periodic episodes of nausea and light headedness. No wheezing or difficulty breathing though (thanks goodness!!). My question is has anyone ever experienced this and what do you think I should do regarding LDN, stop or continue? Your input is greatly appreciated! Thanks! Sandy >
