Hello. My name is Renny, I am a 55 yr old male with Crohn's Disease and Type 1

Diabetes.

I have been taking Temgesic (Buprenorphine) for around 7 years for Restless Legs

Syndrome and am trying to withdraw from this drug so that I can go on LDN.

I developed RLS (I have since found out) as a result of taking SSRI's for

depression. I have completely withdrawn from the SSRI's and have been gradually

tapering my dose of Temgesic and, I am now down to half a tablet (0.1mg) per

day.

The reason I want to try LDN is that I have Crohn's disease and this has flared

up as a result of my drug w/d. I should never have been on either of these drugs

as firstly, I was never really depressed, I was just given them following

surgery for Crohn's. The RLS developed about 2 months after going on SSRI's but,

at the time I didn't realise the SSRI's were causing it!

What I would like to know is, do I need to withdraw completely from

Buprenorphine before taking LDN or, could I try it now as my dose is so small?

I am having terrible trouble with the Bup. W/D as it is draining all my energy

and making me feel lousy. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Renny
