Guest guest
Been an interesting 5 weeks since starting LDN - kinda like a magical mystery tour, or, as we used to say in So. Cal., Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (Disneyland kiddie ride). With several breaks in between and changing to the transdermal LDN, I have gone from .25 mg to 2 mg in 5 weeks and as I write this I realize that's probably too fast for me, given my sensitivities. After the initial bout with an intestinal flu, I continued to feel fluish, achy, agitated, anxious, and worse sinus problems than before I started LDN, etc., so I finally realized that it must be yeast and I cut out all gluten, sugar and dairy for the past week. The fluish symptoms did subside but I completely lost my appetite for everything, healthy or not healthy, and I also did one dose of Diflucan and probably won't do another, but will check out more natural anti-fungals. I am not someone who cannot eat – it messes up my blood sugar too badly. Also, I was getting this surge in my throat, as if either my thyroid or adrenals were fluctuating extremely and I felt on the verge of crying and basically became an emotional wreck. But then... I would go flat, like I'm not in my body and can feel nothing. I am now on a break for a couple of days. I broke the abstinence from sugar, gluten and dairy yesterday and had a major crash afterwards, like I took 20 valium and could hardly stay awake, but I was back in my body again and felt more grounded. BUT I noticed that the fluish symptoms that had dissipated were back after eating sugar. I must be loaded with yeast but am not feeling confident right now that I can really tackle that kind of limited diet. I was certainly not having these symptoms before LDN. So – does LDN affect the thyroid and adrenals? Should I stop it for awhile? I don't know what the best course is. Wondering if I should really get tested for yeast to see how bad it is. I was hoping the LDN could help with some of the sensitivities I have had and I have actually experienced less sensitivity a couple of times with different things that I normally react to, but it's not predictable yet. For anyone newer than me having sleep problems, I can tell you that I did too, and they have passed and I am able to do evening dosing. Thanks for reading. Feedback is welcome.
