Hi!

Just my two cents worth on this: I was told to ask for extended release

flagyl rather than the generic metronidazole, as some study showed that the

generic wasn't quite as effective. Changing to the ER Flagyl honestly DID

seem to make the herx more powerful. The other good thing was it was a coated

pill, and was a two-a-day, instead of the chalky metronidazole which was

three-a-day. The bad news was, it cost more.
