how do you know this? what/which Skeptics org? strangely i never heard of

it. skeptics abound but i never guessed they have a club.

there's certainly legitimate function for skepticism in this world.... not

that the obnoxious arrogance part is needed or nice at all. clear accurate

correct determionation of truth and reality is important. how best to live

within that reality can only be determined intellectually to the extent

that truth is known... otherwise it's a matter of luck, a gift of god, which

it is anyway.

the key to reasoning with them is just that: reason. if they're

unreasonable, they're defective skeptics actually controlled by some hidden

emotional issues or something

actually, i didn't think that article was all that bad coming from a

skeptical critical mindset... just doing their " job " . some of the comments

got off into obnoxious semi-cloaked emotionalism for sure... to be expected.

Naltrexone - Bogus or Cutting E

Unfortunately, this author is part of the Skeptics organization.

The only things Skeptics will support are hard science and will tear apart

or ridicule any comments that doesn't fit their model. If a statement has a

hint of emotion it will be attacked. Most of them fall into the category of

fundamentalist science proponents. Their goal is to attack and bring down

with arrogance, anything that is not backed up with hard scientific study,

including any philosophy, religion or belief in God. They consider

themselves to be critical thinkers. That has very good points but other

" opinions or experiences without evidence based data " will not be respected.

This organization is world wide and fervent. Unfortunately, I have had

personal experience with a member of this organization, which I will not go

into here. Individuals on these LDN sites will have to de cide how involved

one wants to be and if they want to be subjected to the rants that most

likely will follow most commentary. I do not know if there is any way to

reason with them. I saw some good posts by members of these groups. It

will be interesting to see the responses.

Sometimes the most assertive thing one can do is walk away and not

allow oneself to get hooked or feed into it. I don't have a good

suggestion, but I do see the pattern.
