I recently read an article about this and it was very positive.

There was also a study that was highlighted on TV concerning this.

The one thing they cautioned against was adding too many carbs with

the cinnamon. It was suggested that people use cinnamon capsles.

I'm not sure where you would get them. I suppose the health food

store would stoke them.

I am going to try this as I have problems with LOW blood sugar, not

diabetes, but they said that it was helpful in overall leveling of

the blood sugar levels.

The one article I read did say not to go out and start buying cinnamon buns to

get your cinnamon. :P

I guess 1/2 to 1 tsp per day or so was the amount used to study the effect.

It lowered blood sugar levels from 18% to 29% in the study group.

It worked for people who were not diabetic too,(to lower their blood sugar).

It does sound promising. Also it seemed to help with blood lipids.

Fenugreek seeds have also been shown to improve insulin resistence and thus diabetes. Diabetes is of course a big risk factor for candida

I was going to do LDN for my cat last night and then started wondering about

his diabetes. Cats can go into remission from diabetes and he was in remission,.

However the recent prednisone he was on for chemo raised his blood sugar. So, he

was taken off of the prednisone. As of last week he was borderline diabetic.,

but not on insulin right now. His levels will be rechecked tomorrow to see where

he is at. I have found information on type 1 diabetes, but i don't think he is

that.

I'm also wondering, because i'm trying to get LDN for my mom for auto-immune

conditions. She is also diabetic and on insulin. I don't think she is type 1

either. Her diabetes didn't start until she was in her 60's and had Leukemia.

She is in remission from Leukemia.

I read that with type 1 it can reduce the need for as much insulin. but, i

also read that it can cause sugar levels to go low. I haven't fouind much

information on other types of diabetes.

thanks!

Yes, this statement is true for me for sure. You would do just fine having a

stick of cinnamon in a big glass or cup and let it sit for a day in hot

water....first make the water boiling then put in the stick!

After a day drink the water...it tastes a bit sweet. Keep adding hot water to

the stick until it is just a plain used up stick. then start with another one!

I have found that it works really welll to so it this way. One, you are

drinking some warm H2O and that is good because we need to drink way more then

we do. Two, it tates good!

This is a good thing to do for everyone I feel.

as well....I met a woman who took cinnamon instead of meds and it kept her blood

sugar normal.  Also, diet plays a huge roll...one of my friends stopped her med

and keeps her sugar under control with her diet alone.  You don't need to spend

alot of money on homeopathic remedies to control you blood sugar.

So, how about some details on exactly how to use the cinnamon? I really HATE

taking the pills or shots. I wish I could afford to do the " cure " and be

free of the diabetes. Thanks, Sylvia

Sylvia, a few additional ways to deal with diabetes are D-Ribose, vanadium and

irvingia gabonsis( spelling?). Magnesium also helps to control blood sugar. Doug

I know I can get the magnesium at the health food store but can I get the

others there too? How would I take them? As suggested on the bottles or

containers? Thanks, Sylvia

Sylvia, I think alpholipoic acid was also part of the regimen suggested for

diabetes. Doug
